Do Now Arts & Popular Culture working group

A KQED Do Now working group for the Fall 2013 semester.

The working group will be held during the Fall semester from September to mid-December and will be hosted entirely online.

The time commitment for this project is as follows:

 *   1, 2-hour asynchronous orientation until September 13 and to complete the online Action Plan form that will help you develop a way to integrate Do Now into your teaching practice.
 *   1, 3-4 hour mid-semester asynchronous session in mid-October (TBD). This session will provide you a choice from one of our online professional development modules to learn a digital tool that you can implement into the Do Now activity for your students to create a multimedia argument. You will be given a week to look at the materials, develop an example project and fill out a survey.
 *   1, 2-3 hour end of the semester session in mid-December (TBD). This session will be blended as synchronous and asynchronous where you will have time to reflect on the project and fill out an end of the semester survey.
 *   You will have to commit at least a portion of one class/one teaching period per week through out the fall semester for this project.
 *   You will have to moderate your students responses (or do an exchange-type program with another teacher) each week.
 *   Become a Do Now leader/advocate for future iterations of this activity.
